Population Reduction

How to reduce population?

1. Stop paying people to have children

With the contraceptive methods freely available in the UK it is now largely a life style choice to have children and people should be free to have as many as they want but only if they pay for them. As many people do want to have children and any children that are born need to be looked after as best as we can then what we propose is that each mother’s first birthing event attracts the current level of financial benefit e.g. paid maternity leave, child allowance, tax credits, etc. If it’s a natural occurring multiple birth then all the children are provided for, if fertility drugs have been used (tested for during pregnancy) to improve the chances of a multiple birth then just 1 child is supported by the state. If it is a still birth then it will not count as a first birthing event. Any subsequent children born to that mother do not attract any child benefit or benefits of any kind, in addition there is not an automatic right to maternity or paternity leave for anything but the first birthing event. Any leave will need to be negotiated with the employer and payment should be made to the employer to cover the cost of finding a temporary replacement. It’s not acceptable to expect work colleagues to cover for maternity or paternity leave. In contrast any adopted or fostered child would attract full state benefit no matter how many children the parents had.

3. Encourage the view that having a large family takes up more of the worlds resources than is fair.

4. Control migration, with a point system entry and many, many more border checks (See later in this document for where these resources would come from).

5. Encourage all those that want to emigrate, with a point system leading to a cash grant to go and to renounce their citizenship. The least useful someone is to the country the more points they get and the bigger the incentive.
